4th Annual CA Day & Trade Show       "GOING GREEN"

Saturday, November 8, 2008
Holiday Inn, Fishkill, NY
8:30am - 2:30pm

This year our chapter is joining CAI National and embracing a Green Initiative.  CAI's Community Green initiative builds on the principle of "think globally, act locally" by empowering associations and homeowners to make informed, consensus-driven decisions to conserve energy and protect the environment.  The Hudson Valley Chapter is also taking on this important initiative and looks to work with its membership and other organizations to deliver meaningful programming and resources to communities.  As the environment has become such an important issue to communities, finding ways to provide resources and especially education to our membership on how to bring this initiative forward is our challenge.  The show will provide for Exhibitor Booths and various Sponsorships opportunities.

Attendance at the show is complimentary to homeowners (mostly board members) and association managers.  We expect our attendance this year to be between 300-400.  The day  also includes complimentary breakfast and lunch.  A goal of the Hudson Valley Chapter is to have its members active and involved.  One of the benefits of attending programs is having informal discussions with attendees who have experiences or predicaments similar to the ones that confronted or are being faced by associations.  In addition, the Chapter has representatives on New York State’s Legislative Action Committee (LAC).  This committee represents member interests before New York State’s legislative and regulatory bodies.
